CONGRATULATIONS MARGHERITA AND EUGENIO!!! MISSONI HEIRESS, MARGHERITA, GETS MARRIED TO ITALIAN RACE CAR DRIVER EUGENIO AMOS IN AN ELEGENT YET QUAINT ITALIAN CEREMONY!

Yes, it’s wedding season and how darling are the photos from Margherita Missoni’s weekend nuptials to long-time love Eugenio Amos? There’s something SO admirable about a family of such wealth having such a down-home country wedding affair… yet given Missoni’s family’s fashion history, there was no doubt it would be stylish!  Pop Culture Vulture is strong in the belief that pricey wedding traditions have gotten out-of-control “cray cray”!!! The ceremony was held at the church of Santa Maria Annunciata, in Brunello, about a half hour outside Milan. The reception took place at a farm in Brunello, with a gypsy band, acrobats, and a fortune teller!!! The dress for the reception was the same as the dress for the ceremony, but in light pink, and the tiara was switched out for a daisy chain (both dresses were “made by the women who saw me growing up” says the bride, with Missoni silk and organza (natch!) and with Giambattista Valli overlooking the precious project. Guests sat on Moroccan cushions on the grass set around low tables with colorful tablecloths; the cake was heart-shaped and topped with raspberries… HOW SWEET!!!!

ps. The Bohemian-feel of Missoni’s big day reminds us a bit of another PCV favorite: Kate Moss. Once I meet Prince Charming (hurry up, dude!!), I’ll definitely be drawing on inspiration from these lovely Bohemian Brides!!
